Ict Outreach Project 2015 at Akwatia in the Eastern Region of Ghana

Education has the power to transform the lives of children However, in Ghana there are problems in education opportunities amongst children. The realisation of this and many other issues asociated made us take on this outreach.
The aforementioned project targeted pupils in the basic schools in the Akwatia community. The purpose of the project was to enlighten these pupils on the knowledge of ICT.
From our survey prior to the project, the team realized that some schools in the community were lacking in the ICT education they were receiving so the team spent much time with those schools.

All children should have access to equal education opportunities.

Our ideal goal for the project
  • Increased student involvement in IT education.
  • At the end of the project, our basic goal of two-thirds of the pupils being able to explain to his or her understanding of what a computer is was achieved thanks to the combined effort of parents in the community to allow their wards to school for a few hours every fortnight Saturday since the project commenced.

Educational Outreach at Adotim Vision International School in the Eastern Region of Ghana, 2016

Adotim is one town the Team has very close to its heart. A town that the team will always take volunteers to experience the essence of helping others.
This project looked to introduce the subject of ICT to pupils in this village where there is no light to even power a lamp. That notwithstanding, the team still gathered every inspiration there was to take the kids through ICT education, reading lessons and other educational activities.

Due to the earlier mentioned challenge and others like infrastructure and harsh weather conditions, the team could not meet its major goals but the indicators of success tomorrow were very high because of the zeal to learn that the kids portrayed.

We could not really achieve our goals but hopefully in years to come, our targets for this lovely community will be met.
